Region Electric Association As a member of Lake Region Electric, you have joined nearly 4,000 other co-op patrons in membership in a locally controlled corporation, chartered by the State of South Dakota on April 9, 1941. Lake Region Electric Association (LREA) serves members in Marshall, Day and portions of Roberts counties. The office of Lake Region Electric is located at 1212 Main Street in Webster. LREA functions to purchase, transmit and distribute electric energy and provide services to its members. The association is operated on a non-profit cooperative basis, for the sole use and benefit of its members. At the annual meetings, the members elect directors to whom they entrust the responsibility of operating your cooperative through a hired staff. Service Territory View our Service Territory Statement of Nondiscrimination Lake Region Electric Cooperative, Inc., Webster, SD, is the recipient of Federal financial assistance from the Rural Utility Service, an agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and is subject to the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, as amended, and the rules and regulations of the U.S. Department of Agriculture which provide that no person in the United States, on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, or handicap shall be excluded from participation in, admission or access to, denied the benefits of, or otherwise be subjected to discrimination under any of this organization's programs or activities.
